Thanks for stopping by! I am Natalia from the Netherlands. This december I will turn 40. Not sure how I feel about that, but I will figure it out along the way.
In a later stage of my life I got asthma. And it sucks always being one of the slowest and always using medicines. But it didn’t keep me from running my first half marathon in 2013, an obstacle race in 2014. More half marathons followed and this year I started with triathlons. Wich has been on my bucketlist for ages. It has been an amazing adventure so far! Even more crazy. In 2019 I’ll do my first 70.3 Ironman in Vichy for charity to raise money for children’s cancer. It is a very ambitious goal, but I just need to do this.
You know why? I keep doubting myself. And I am so done with that. I need to go big. Having asthma made me feel insecure. I kept comparing myself to others, instead of focusing on my own progress. Felt not like a real athlete despite all the hours I put into in. That needs to stop! I’m on a journey to learn taking up my space. The space I rightfully own. To be proud of what I’m doing and who I am. Of course I’m going to make mistakes, but I better make it convincing ones.
We can do so much more, than we think. I want to show and inspire you by my own story, that we can make things happen! I love strong women, who dare to be bold and vulnerable at the same time. No matter what imperfections we have, we are worth to be and do whatever we want!
